Tack Hsin Restaurant Group (the “Group”) was founded in 1983. The Group is principally engaged in various types of restaurant operations in Hong Kong, some of which are operated under the name, “Tack Hsin”, serving Cantonese cuisine, hot pot and Chinese banquet. One of them is specialising in more sophisticated Cantonese cuisine and operating under the name “Jade Terrace Restaurant”. The Group also serves Shanghainese, Hangzhou and Sichuan cuisine. The Group is well known for serving one of the greatest hot pot cuisine in Hong Kong with the finest and freshest hot pot ingredients. Although the hot pot eating trend has prevailed for a long time, it can still sustain and has gained its popularity within the local Hong Kong customers and also among the mainland tourists.
After many years of operation, the Group has several famous restaurants, all known as “Tack Hsin Restaurant”, and locating in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok. For the purpose of business diversification, the Group has set up a new restaurant “New Shanghai Spot”, in Nathan Road, Kowloon, mainly serving Shanghai cuisine including Shanghai La Mian and Xiao Long Bao.
All “Tack Hsin” restaurants offer quality Cantonese cuisine and hot pot at competitive prices in a pleasant and comfortable environment. “Jade Terrace Restaurant” serves more sophisticated Cantonese cuisine, including extensive selection of dim sum specialties and exquisite Cantonese dishes and is targeting at a more affluent segment of the market. “New Shanghai Spot” serves Shanghainese flavour and authentic Hangzhou and Sichuan cuisine satisfying different tastes of customers.
To enlarge the market share, deliver quality services to customers and suit the taste of the fashionable ones, the Group has set up a branch in Wanchai in January 2006, 1st Floor of 9-13 O’Brien Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong offering Guangdong cuisine. The Wanchai restaurant also uses its diversified dim sum and special hot pot to define its position in the market.
Also, in August 2008, the Group invested approximately HK$7,000,000 in a restaurant with a total area of 8,500 square feet located on the 1st floor of Golden Centre, Yen Chow Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, Hong Kong which is the Group’s latest investment in a restaurant. The Sham Shui Po restaurant commenced its operation in late August 2008 which provides famous Tack Hsin cuisine and special hot pots for customers in the district and has been well-received by its customers.
